Lyrical Monday: "Home"

I decided I wanted to try out a new weekly feature, where I showcase some favorite lyrics of mine and explain why they mean so much to me. Today I was wanting to do something appropriate for Garrett and mine's "half-anniversary" today, and this will seem a sort of roundabout way to do that. We've never really had a song that defined our relationship, but we both love Switchfoot. They don't really do love songs, otherwise I'm sure one of those would be "our song." Anyhow, a week ago I talked about home, and I included the music video for Switchfoot's song, "This Is Home," which is actually my favorite Switchfoot song. Another one I love on the same topic, however, is simply called "Home," and it's from their first album. I wanted to do this song not just because it's Switchfoot, but because it's another example of what home is... our future glory in heaven.

But while I'm here on earth, home is with Garrett. With him is where I belong. So since today is a special day for us, I felt it was appropriate to revisit the topic of home.
